Beautiful morning in the marina after last night's storm. lots of lighting bolts!  After the storm passed it sure did cool down. looks like today is heating up pretty good, not as bad as yesterday however.......nice breeze............

A boat called the Raven just docked right outside our boat.........80 people to be boarding for a chartered day on the river Talked to our friends in the Marina, turns out it is a memorial........interesting...........  Always something to see...........!

Joe is getting very good at "parking" the boat in the slip AKA docking.......... I am learning the "ropes" AKA lines...........I am learning the lingo .........a bathroom is the head, the kitchen is the galley.............left side of the boat is PORT, right side is STARBOARD.............so we are ready for our first sail..............we motor out a ways......and.....no wind..............but it is sure was nice being out on the river! The wind did pick up a tad and we put the sail up........... a successful first sail!
Well, we're in the water now. Our slip is right on the Susquehanna River. view is great! it was getting near sunset, we were watching the ducks on the river, when we saw 2 boats coming towards us........what are they? fishing boats? as they got closer, they looked like Pirates! yo ho yo ho a Pirates life for me! I could almost hear them singing. Then.........they docked right beside our boat........we hurried back over to find that they are replicas of the Nina and Pinta, heading down to Lewes, DE. they stayed the night and we got to talk to some of the crew. most are volunteers for the summer. They are part of the Columbus Foundation. Very interesting and very cool!

Funny how a day trip to Havre de Grace, MD to inquire about chartering a sail boat turned into a purchase of a 45ft Morgan called CAROL-LYN now known as FANTABULOUS
